Jeff Jacobson

Purchased Jeff Jacobson's Melting Point today - I'd never heard of him or seen any of his work before this, but it affected me in a way that most books rarely do these days. In it, amongst many other incredible pictures, he has the best photo of 9/11 I've ever seen so far (go to the 'Melting Point' link above and click on the booktease link after that to see a sample of some of the images there). The book is printed beautifully with rich tones and intensely saturated colours.

Other nice finds today:

Jeh Song Baak

Roger Ballen (Outland and Shadow Chamber series)

Excellent. I was preparing a JJ post for 2point8. I just "found" him last week, too.

Thanks for the great words about Jeff Jacobson. The exhibition, Melting Point, opened at my gallery in November and will run through January 13. It is good to hear from people who feel as strongly about the work as I do.
